Ski Junkie is much more than a company, its also a service. Four years ago I didnt start Ski Junkie with the dirty thought of making some money. In Europe we have a great and growing freeride community. In my own search for the right ski’s and gear I found out a lot of great brands were not available. My mission started right there, getting more dope ski related brands available here. It started with Moment skis and later things worked out with 4FRNT and Surface. My objective was getting the brands in some real shops, unfortunately shops tend to refuse selling smaller brands. Its understandable, beacause of the margins, although I hate it when they think I talk about some garage brand with low quality. Until some shops open their eyes I help the riders out getting the skis they are looking for.
Recently I worked things out with two non ski building brands.
I became a sales rep for Outdoor Technology. A young and fun brand that supports all kind of outdoor sports. Really great to work with them, you can find them in shops in the Netherlands soon!
With Flylow gear I have bigger plans. The plan is to collect a few shops throughout Europe that will be carrying the Flylow brand with pride. Flylow makes great freeride appereal with top quality, but prices are very reasonable. Even though Flylow is not available in Europe yet, it already has got some great reviews here and people talk about the brand in several communities. Stoked to help them gain ground in Europe!
Now at the age of 24 I’ve already learned a lot. I love to stick my head in the freeski business and gently Ski Junkie keeps growing. I have some nice thoughts about how and where Ski Junkie can grow the next few years, but its important not to forget I also need to shred!
